Shape your story.
Music is the heartbeat behind any story. It’s what makes a moment linger far past the screen, and a project truly unforgettable. As a bespoke composer, I create original music that doesn’t just accompany your work, but elevates it to capture the essence of your vision, and make your story feel right.
My orchestral piece, “Vivo On The Prowl”, was recently double-shortlisted for the BBC Young Composer competition 2025.

My performance of Chopin’s third Scherzo in C sharp minor won the Young Musician of the Year competition. View my performance below
The power of music
To me, music is essential to how we view the world and shape ourselves. Its ever-evolving nature and rich history means I am always discovering something new and unexpected. At my core, I am a storyteller, and composition is my most powerful form of storytelling, allowing me to craft emotion through sound and communicate in ways no other form can.
Skills
Fluent in Logic Pro and Sibelius
These are the tools I use to create music, all the way from multimedia demos to orchestral works.
Demos
If you’re not quite set on what emotion you want your project to portray through the music, I am adept at creating multiple interpretations of music for your work. Take a look at the 3 demos I recently created for Experian: Better Your Story below.
Deadline Ready
I am experienced at working with tight deadlines while maintaining the quality you need, including music I created for Ember Creative Limited with a 36 hour turnaround, which you can view below
(But a bit of extra time never hurts)

About me
I’m Maissa (pronounced May-sa), a multimedia and concert composer based in Manchester. I grew up as a classically trained pianist, and as well as composition I have a deep love for Arabic and Greek folk music. Outside composing, I love to act, sing, paint, play the darbuka, and occasionally use my perfect pitch to tell my friends what note their glasses make when it clinks together.
